KFXM Hey Paula-Paul & Paula #1 once again. Up to #2 Walk Like A Man-Four Seasons
"Wax To Watch"
#43 The Isley Bros version of Nobody But Me, later a big hit by The Human Beinz
#55 Lonely Bull-Jack Jones. Is this the same as Herb Alpert/The Tijuana Brass version? And it has words? Somebody explain this to me.
OK now for the K/MEN-DOUS TEN.
I don't have a survey this week, but based on the following weeks survey, these were among the Top Ten
1) Hey Paula-Paul & Paula
2) Walk Right In-Rooftop singers
3) Walk Like A Man-Four Seasons
5) My Dad-Paul Peterson
6) Java-Floyd Cramer
7) Tell Him-Exciters
8) Don't Make me Over-Dione Warwick
9) Little Town Flirt-Del Shannon
These songs could have been #4 Half Heaven, Half Heartache-Gene Pitney and #10 Rhythm Of The Rain-The Cascades , but no guarantee. This only based on the prior weeks position.
If anyone out there has a copy of January25, 1963 K/mentertainer and could make a copy for me, I will put it on the blog. And I really would appreciate it. Thank You.

Doug....you might mention that during the first half-hour of my show Sunday, between 12 noon and 12:30 I'll be playing a special LONG version of "Morning Girl" by the Neon Philharmonic. Most people have never heard it, including me, until a few weeks ago.
Take Care, Johnny
Morning Girl by Neon Philharmonic got up to #17 on the national charts in 1969. #6 on San Bernardino's KFXM and #7 on KMEN. Top 10 smash in the Inland Empire.
Listen to Johnny Helm on Sunday, should be interesting.

This is the January 19, 1973 issue, but the only time I've ever seen that KFXM printed two weeks of surveys in one issue. #1 You're So Vain-Carly Simon. Actually the top three were the same for both weeks. DJs include Doug Collins, Bruce Chandler, Chris Roberts, Johnny Kaye, Ron Christian (recycled picture from 1960's KMEN) (See http://billearl.blogspotcom/ for his The "RECYCLED DJ PIC" Issue article) and Vic Moreno
Remember the American Motors Gremlin? Looks like Changing Times in The Central city Mall is giving one away in 1973.
The comp;ete KMEN survey (too big for the whole thing on the scanner) Where the top three are exaactly the same as the KFXM survey.

Sam Cooke, Jackie DeShannon, Henry Mancini and Dion newest adds thisweek on K/MEN, and they are also on the KFXM hit list. Tell Daddy-Ben E King new on KFXM this week #39. Never heard it. Supremes have Let Me Go The Right Way as Wax To Watch, didn't see it go anywhere. Four Letter Man-Freddie Cannon did not see the top ten either.
