LACK #1 at both stations and KMEN insists on
EVERdyslexia. Oh, well, guess they
never got the updated 45 on this one
from Atlantic. Who was Music Director
at this time over there?
This has become my favorite pet peeve
with KMEN at this time.
FLACK on above comment
the late Bill Rhodes was just coming aboard with the Music Directing duties about this time as personnel changes may have resulted in some discontinuity in some areas of the KMEN operations... but not for long.
A week or 2 yes. But 4 weeks later?
Too much to have been ignored.
I guess the secretary typed the sheets
that went to the printer.
She wouldn't know an I EVER from an
EVER I. Just a pet peeve.
And how was your day 38 years ago?
ah yes, 38 years ago...
i do remember one staff secretary, Pam Reeves (a very sweet young gal), always typed up KMEN's weekly playlist for publication, and she was a darn good typist and proofreader -- which meant she only typed exactly what was on the source copy she was given. must accept partial blame for not catching this quirky title misnomer in the first place as i also was involved in the process.
therefore, let me state unequivocably, the 'correct' title to Robert Flack's smashing number one song on The (former) Rock of The Inland Empire was "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Facey", yup!
hope this settles the 'dyslexia' in this matter
Never saw this "facey" thing.
Never.
