If so, it'll be another another 2 1/2 years
before a real hit.
Paul Revere & the Raiders got to # 38 on Billboard's Hot 100 with "Like Long Hair" earlier in 1961.

charted on KRLA Sept of 1960.
The group was formed in 1960 in Portland, Oregon.

Paul was from Bosie Idaho, Mark was from Eugene Oregon.
The first band was called The Downbeats, They Changed the the to the Raiders in 1960.

PR&R were discovered by Gary Paxton in Boise when he was on tour with the Hollywood Argyles...they asked him to take them back to Hollywood, which they did.
