Didn't Carter also jock at KMEN as "Brother Bill" Carter?
No, Marvin Carter was NEVER employed at K/Men radio. "Brother Bill" McKinney is the person referred to by this moniker. Bill worked the evening shift during his tenture there while working his regular day job as a counselor at San Bernardino High School.
BTW: Marsh Carter's in-studio nickname was "MUSH". you figure it out.
I'm told that Marsh Carter's on-air act was dictated by Howard Tullis, who insisted that Marsh be a screamer on-air...
Off air, Marsh was a very articulate intelligent guy...very different from the on-air persona on KFXM...
