Mister Cordell was ALWAYS using his position as Program Director for self-aggrandizement's such as this, including getting royalty credits for promoting specified records and recording artists. Cordell's use of this method for getting extras bucks while employed in the radio broadcasting industry wasn't new during the Great Payola Era: Dick Clark and Allen Freed, among 5000 or so others, led the pack!
