January 7, 1967
This was probably a regular page in the San Bernardino newspaper, trying to appeal to teenagers. I was only going to post the music/survey information with The Monkees at #1, but I had the whole page, so I'm posting the whole page.
"the San Bernardino newspaper" you referred to WAS The (then-venerable) Sun-Telegram and Evening News Index -- the full name of a once great daily metropolitan journalistic institution published by the Guthrie family for the former 'City On The Move'.
BTW, Tom Greene later took over the youth section for the Sun-Telegram, writing his own weekly column and providing Top Ten charts he compiled.
p.s. yer welcome, Doug. ya know, i WISH that it really was far less than FORTY-FIVE years ago because it makes that era seem to all-too-ancient now, whoa is me!
