  1. CCR must have liked the South.
    Many songs about water
    and rain and New Orleans.
    All great stuff.
Too bad John Fogerty and group
got so screwed up by Fantasy
    records. Fogerty promised never
to do the songs stolen from him
by the record label; songs HE wrote but
somehow owned by Fantasy. I guess he
changed his mind when he was
low on funds. He came back doing
concerts and the old songs that made
    him famous.
He's back "...rollin on the river...."

  2. dittos on Anony's commentary re
the legendary Creedence Clearwater Revival who have left us such a
    wonderful musical odyssey...
sad, but true -- even to this day -- so many business entities in the recording and publishing industry impose complex deals with new talent musicians/writers and take away ownership to their works just so these artistes can get access to mass audience exposure.
deplorable it is, the humilations incurred by such a fine songwriter/composer as John Fogerty!
