When I was studying radio at Valley College in '72-'73 sometimes my friends and I would go over to KFXM when Johnny Kaye was on the air. He always buzzed us in and would entertain us with great radio stories of the exploits of various DJs. Amazing stuff. One night he played "Louie Louie" and sang the alternate words for us (with the mic closed of course) and it was one of the funniest things I've ever heard. What a great guy.
