Johnny Darin on K/men
Johnny Darin on K/men from the beginning of 1966 until midyear 1967 passed away March 9, 2014 from pancreatic cancer. He also was at KRLA in Los Angeles among many other station.
This is an article he wrote from one of the K/mentertainers.

We're coming up to the 40th anniversary of the original California Jam held at the Ontario Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 6, 1974. I was there, were you?
It was publicized on FM stations like KLOS/KMET/KROQ at the time. I had moved on from KFXM and KMEN by then (though I'm back as a loyal listener on their internet reincarnations).
