KFXM Tiger Mag Aug 25, 1967

Seeds on the cover, with article inside. Interestingcomment about the Beach Boys new album being retitled from "Smile" to "Smiley Smile" in the Bits & Pieces article. Most people don't consider it the same album.

#1
after in the second week on the 40 The Letter-The Boxtops.
#40
Free Me-Paul Jones--- Never heard it. Can anyone out there tell me about it?
The Rolling Stones
They have their psychadelic doubled sided single as a personal pick. We Love You/Dandelion. Dandelion is a good song. I've always enjoyed it.
Shades of Mr. Spock!
Leonard Nimoy doing Visit To A Small Planet is another personal pick.
How about this personal pick-- Love Revelution-Billy Bud --This is also unknown to me.

We saw before that Dave McCormick looks like Mr Spock. Now Robert E. Walker is a look-a-like for Tommy Roe
1967 The Youngbloods hit the charts with Get Together. KMEN recognizes the song as a hit, putting their picture on the cover stating, one of the fastest rising singles, and one of the most requested. Nationally, it had to wait until 1969 to hit the top ten. #1 Ode To Billie Joe-Bobbie Gentry
New to the top thirty this week #26-30 There Is A Mountain-Donovan, I Dig Rock & Roll Music-Peter, Paul & Mary, I Had A Dream-Paul Revere & The Raiders, Soul Finger-BarKays, and Fakin' It-Simon & Garfunkel
Interesting that Jimi Hendrix as Purple Haze on the charts and Cher is hit bound with Hey Joe

#1 Ode To Billy Joe-Bobbie Gentry, and look Happy is #6, but it is by the Blades of Grass.
Jimi Hendrix jumping up to #12 with Purple Haze. The Letter-Boxtops debuting at #19

Big brother & Holding Co concert coming up. And introducing the new KMEN Jason St. George. Don't expect him to stay around very long. The new lineup
A letter from Jason to the listeners.

Where were you able to pick up the K/mentertainer. See the locations below.

Eric Burdon finally made #1 on KMEN with San Franciscan Nights.
While setting this posting up, I was playing my program from Finetune.com, and The Great Banana Hoax by The Electric Prunes played. It's a hitbound sound this week.
I really like I Had A Dream by Paul Revere and The Raiders featuring Mark Lindsey
It's a different psychedelic sound for them.
