What do these two 45 rpm records have to do with KFXM? I'll take the first 5 bloggers for their guesses. Sorry, no KFXM prize packages.
Greenburg, Glickstein, Charles, David , Smith & Jones by The Cryan' Shames
Three Little Fishes by Willie B. B. Bellman

Do they both have connections
to KFXMs BILL BELLMAN, salesman
record produer?
Too bad you are not offering
a KFXM SIX PACK OF HITS and
a free coupon for RC Cola.
Half right.
Willie B. B. Bellman-Three Little Fishies is Mr. Bellman with The Music Express (who would have probably preferred not to be identified) a group who recorded on Rock-It Records.
The other song is not directly related to an individual, but certain individuals are probably the reason the song got played.
Since the Cryin' Shames single was out in the fall of 1968 this would put this tune on KFXM during the "Jones Boys" era. Jonny Bruce
Thank you Jonny!
I thought the "...and Jones" would give it away. I remembered that being played a lot (and just being barely on the survey), and the Jones Boys always commenting about the Jones reference. Back then I din't think it was a very good song. I actually like it now. The Cryan' Shames had some interesting songs. I liked one called "I Wanna Meet You"
I think the only reason the song was played was the Jones reference. Anyone there at the time know if this was a fact? I don't think KMEN ever played the song.
