Early Michael
On this date The Jackson 4 with Michael Jackson peaked at #2 on KFXM with The Love You Save. Did not make to #1 Different story on K/men, next week it would make it to the top of the K/men Heavy Hits
Doug, wanted to let you know I enjoy the KFXM and KMEN info on your blog. I grew up in Riverside in the 60's and remember the nights spent with the transistor radio under my pillow ,or with it hanging off the handlebars during my daily paper-route. All good memories.Keep up the good work!!
At SBSUN.COM a John Weeks piece talking about Michael Jackson's Inland Empire connection includes the following:
"Jackson's first public appearance in the Inland Empire came on Dec. 13, 1979, when he performed with his brothers as the Jackson 5 at Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino. Jackson was 20 at the time."
