50 Years Ago K/MEN Debut March 10, 1962 Anniversaries of The Past
Great stuff. Nice collection. Thanks for posting on such a milestone. 50 YEARS. Incredible it's been that long. Woulda never imagined I'd be reading about such a historical time 50 years later. Appreciate your website, Doug.
The prior anniversary stuff is interesting because it shows how flexible scheduling was in observing the anniversary. Events could pretty much occur anytime in the year. We've only just begun...
Sgt Pepper won't arrive till June 1967. I remember KFXM displaying the album at the studio window. Went to see what it looked like because of the hype, which was understated after what became of this album. Monumental.
All this traveling about to and fro on The Way Back Machine (with Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman) is making me dizzy and my temporal orientation is off!!!

Did anyone notice the 100 year anniversary when KFXM began broadcasting is only seventeen years from now?
Get ready now! Bake a cake, make a sign, hold a parade.
And forty-five years ago, Sgt. Pepper taught THE band to play!
