Happy New Year! KFXM Top Hits of 1960s

Many years ago on my old computer (The computer I use now is about 7-8 years ago), I calculated the top hits of the 1960s using my KFXM surveys.  This list is based on the position the songs reached and the number of weeks on the survey.  The program was DOS, so it does not work on this computer.  So the following chart you see are photocopies of the list.

Here is the KFXM Top 1259 of the sixties, that KFXM could have done at the end of 1969.

A great piece of work you did researching this chart you compiled, Doug. The bottom half of the listed recordings is far more interesting since many of the wanna-be hitmaker artists did actually produce some good sounding music!
So thanks for a job well done including this website of yours that fills lots of pop music memories for those of us who grew up on Inland Empire Top 40 radio.
And a Happy New Year to one and all.

Great list! It's interesting how the popularity of some of those songs has changed. Some that are more toward the bottom of the list seem to be heard far too often on some oldies and satellite stations, while others are ignored. Some of that might be regional differences.

Hey Dougmaster, what's the song title, artist and survey date for position #685???
Your chart lists only "DON'T BRE"...

WOW! I never noticed that before. For some reason it didn't print originally. That is strange. Going through my records, it appeaers to be Don't Break the Heart That Loves You-Connie Francis from 1962. Sorry about that.

Thanks for adding the missing information, Doug. Your Top Sixties chart still rules and is a fantastic programming aid to boot!

The missing survey entry date
for that Connie Francis tune
is February 3, 1962, right?

Actually April 14, 1962. I was using the peak date, not the debut date.

Oops, found another one, Dougmaster!

At position #989, missing the full song title, artist and peak survey date.

Could you fill in the blanks for us?
Thanks.
