Articles from 1967 Kmentertainers, read about one of my favorite groups, The Hollies and their lead singe Allan Clarke.
Always enjoyed their songs, Bus Stop, Stop Stop Stop, On A Carousel, Jennifer Eccles, Carrie Anne, Long Cool Woman, Long Dark Road, The Air That I Breathe and on and on. In the 70's most of their albums weren't even released in the US, but I managed to get imports. Graham Nash and Allan Clarke were the singers. Graham Nash went on to other things, but Allan Clarke made them great.

The Hollies (without Allan) even released an album earlier this year. It did need Allan Clarke.

Nancy Sinatra 1967 Lightning's Girl. Didn't do as well as These Boots Are Made For Walking, but the song had a similar attitude. If you look below the 1967 issue, you'll see one of my favorite Tiger Mag covers, the first Nancy Sinatra from March 1966. Article about Nancy and also one about the Association inside.

I don't remember how I did it, but I must have won about a dozen of the Wink 6 packs. They were not 12 ounce bottles, but rather either 8 or 10 ounce, I really don't remember which.

One of the readers mentioned the rock groups scheduled didn't perform, and the article mentions this, but it also mentions a group called The Midnight Strings opened up the show setting a "Mellow " atmoshere for Donovan's "recital". Articles in the K/mentertainer about the Now generation and Frank Sinatra. Generations away fom each other. But in 1967 Sinatra was still hip, along with The Electric Prunes. Afterall, they were on the same record label.
