Another Memorial Day Countdown

Since we're talking about 300 Memorial Day countdowns, here is one from KOLA, played this last weekend. I'll limit to the Top 40

The highlighted songs are ones that could have made one K/MEN Soundathon or another. Songs from 1972 or before. Hey, still no Stairway To Heaven-Led Zeppelin (many times #1 on these charts, not even in the top 400) The other #1 song in these countdowns in the last few years, Unchained Melody-Righteous Brothers made it to #132 on this chart.

I don't think "stariway to heaven"
was ever a 45 for the public.
Yes, it was played to the hilt
but I don't recall it as a song
released on 45. I have a 45 PROMO
copy but that was just for stations.

Am I wrong on this?

It wasn't released as a single, but at least twice it was voted number 1 on the KRTH Firecracker 300, and always in the top ten on KLOS all time favorites countdown.
