KFXM DJs who became K/MEN (or vice versa) Favorites

Today My Favorites from KFXM and K/MEN. To make this list they had to work at both stations. At a later date I'll do a separate list from each station.
I started listening to the radio on a regular basis in the mid sixties, so a lot of DJs, can't be my favorites, because I never heard them! So this is my list.
1st I was going to do a top 5, but came up with #6 an honorable mention. Don McCoy DJ'd at KFXM, and worked at K/MEN but in sales and not on the air. This started his climb as a successful businessman, but I would have loved to hear Dirty Don McCoy on the air at K/MEN! #5 Jonny Bruce started at KFXM in the sixties, heard later in the seventies on K/MEN. Now he can be heard on KDEZ in Palm Springs.
Jonny Bruce & Doug Collins with my TV set. The Television on the shelf behind Jonny and Doug looks like the one I won on KFXM. It was a Toshiba!
#4 Doug Collins started at KFXM in the 1960s and 1970s and moving over to K/MEN in to the 70's. I also think he was the voice behind 90% of the radio commercials. I also remember winning many contests from him.
#3 Mark Denis Started at KFXM during the early 60s and was at K/MEN a couple of times through 1966. Later was at many major Southern California radio stations and ended up at KFI. Always attending the K/MEN reunions. Sorry to say we lost Mark a few years ago.
#2 Bruce Chandler was at K/MEN first in the early seventies, then moved on to KFXM. Still heard on many commercials, and if you listen to KRTH 101 Los Angeles, you'll hear him on weekends.
#1 It's time for #1 this it, here he comes #1!! Johnny Helm, The Helmsman, Johnny at the Helm. Started at KFXM, then went to K/MEN, was there for years. During the seventies seemed to be always on K/MEN. Always did something special on the air, such as playing the whole All Things Must Pass Album by George Harrison. Playing blocks of favorite artists. Johnny is now retired.

Hey Doug: Great list! Yea, too bad
you weren't around for Huckleberry
and Bill Watson at KMEN (neither
ever "crossed" the freeway to
KFXM). But they did make
KMEN legendary.

Keep up the good work!

Vic- When I do my KMEN only list Huckleberry will be in the top 5, because I did listen to him when he came back to the station in the 70s. Too bad there were no K/Mentertainers during his second stint to record this stage of his career. Was it about 1973? 1974?

I think John Badeau (Jockey Jon) worked at KFXM and KMEN. Great jock who believed in shutting up and playing the music.

Jon was at both stations. I believe he started at KFXM then over to K/MEN 1965/1966
