HURRAY! We're back in Eighties and Devo Whips It forever, awesome!!!
No, you are just an old fart, my man. Your AGE is showing, but this kind of predilection to one's music of youth happens to EVERY generation.
Just recall what yarn parents, grandparents and great-grandparents had likely commented on about the way THEY saw the music scene in their day, yes? And what would your kids, grandchildren and the successive generations ahead say about OUR decades of popular music and the like, huh?
The rest of the planet was finished with Rapper's Delight and Pop Muzik at the end of 1979. Why was KFXM so late on these? Was the recent debut of KGGI playing rhythmic music the reason?

Well you might like the 80s but
I'm still lost in the 50s tonight.
60s was a music revolution unlike any other music era
70s was stagnant until Disco
came alone.
80s ok on first half until
Rap killed it off the planet.
Won't mention 90s etc because
they were oh so lame.
Don't shoot me, I'm only
the messenger or piano player.

Don't blame me. I'm only the Social Historian!
