KFXM Top 100 of 1973

#1 for the year Killing Me Softly With His Song-Roberta Flack
A surprise in the top ten Little Willy-Sweet #8
Hey look! Edgrrr the Tiger is back in his original form.  (For the last time)
Below is my version of KFXM's Top Hits of 1973. Including Peak Position, Total Points (Don't ask I don't remember exactly how they were calculated) and Date Peaked.
The Top 176 (actually 177), each had at least 90 Points in order to make the list. Almost all of these songs made the top 20. Only two peaked lower than that, but did stick enough weeks to make the survey.
The highest position record that made it to #2 is Midnight Train To Georgia-Gladys Knight & The Pips #8 Closely followed by Keep On Truckin'-Eddie Kendricks #11
The lowest position record that made it to #1 song was Will It Go Round In Circles-Billy Preston #63
Here are some other big hits that didn't quite make the top 100.
Live And Let Die-Paul McCartney/Wings #107
Mind Games-John Lennon #109
Do It Again-Steely Dan #118
Cover Of The Rolling Stone-Dr Hook #127
Rocky Mountain High-John Denver #133
For some reason the number 113 repeated, so there are actually 177 songs listed here.

YES, ONE LAST appearance of the classic 'California Tiger' as we knew and grooved him during the heydays of KFXM's broadcasts roaring the airwaves... Right on, Edgrr!

btw, it looks like the Tunesheet's editor used a business card for the Hot 100 chart's 2nd page's logo and address (minus the staffer's name) -- and is quite similar to my own card.

AND KUDOS TO the Dougmaster for once again providing another interesting 're-computed' analysis, this time for KF's top record hits for '73 A.D.

as Spock would say, "I find it all quite fascinating."
