Listing of contest winners for sending Jocko a birthday card. Yours truly is listed as a winner. The listing includes everyone's address. Couldn't/shouldn't/wouldn't do that now. I haven't lived there for about 30 years.
Interesting that in the bits and pieces is stating Bee Gees New York Mining Disaster was a flop. Last week was first week listed on the K/MEN survey, and don't think it was ever listed on KFXM. It wasn't given a chance before releasing To Love Somebody.
#1 Can't Take My Eyes Off You-Frankie Valli. Moving up to #2 Sonny & Cher-It's The Little Things
Mr. Soul-Buffalo Springfield and Morning Dew-Episode Six (Shades of Deep Purple!) good Picks for the week
Morning Dew, Mr. Soul, Carrie-Anne, Not So Sweet Martha Lorraine, 1000 Shadows, Pictures Of Lilly, Seven Rooms Of Gloom., Eagle Never Hunts The Fly, Let's Live For Today, The Flower Children, Mercy Mercy Mercy, Here Comes My Baby, C'mon Marianne, Here We Go Again, Light My Fire and White Rabbit. I just couldn't put Whiter Shade Of Pale on this CD, I've really tired of hearing it, but I might put Devil's Angels Theme at the end.
and I would proabably listen to it quite a lot.

You say!!!
Whiter Shade of Pale is
masterpiece. Drums, an organ,guitar,
a singer.....simple yet fantastic.
Oh, if it were only
18 minutes longI'd be happy.
I could live without
Inagadadavida or Get Ready
(each about 18 minutes long)
but not WSP.
Let the Music Play, and Let
It Be Whiter Shade of Pale. !
Play it again...and again...
yada-yada-yada.
I can see Whiter Shade of Pale is your "Radio-Proof" song. Don't get me wrong...I like Whiter Shade Of Pale. It just seem I'm always hearing it, and just tired of the song.
I may just make me my own
18 minute or so version someday.
With a bit of editing, I'm sure
it can be done.
I still don't know what in
the world they are talking
about in WSOP !!
Maybe that's the mystery that
keeps me wanting to hear it.
In that case, i don't wanna know.
Doug, I remember playing "NY Mining Disaster" on KFXM. We featured it as an album cut, but we definately played it.
Johnny you were there but I also
remember hearing it on KFXM and
then it disappeared shortly.
To Love Somebody was a great
comeback. Definitive BeeGees !!!!
It was just one of those songs
in the Summer 67 I remember
vividly like it was today.
Fantastic time for music and
the times in American society.
