The Taco Tia ads bring back memories. How many remember the founder of Taco Tia, Glen Bell, built his first stand on Baseline, next to Sage’s. At 28, Glen sold Taco Tia and went on to start another company called Taco Bell, which he ran until the mid 70’s. He had a partner in Barstow named Ed Hackbarth who leased the Taco Tia from Glen, and then bought it and started Del Taco. And this all started just a few blocks away from the original McDonalds.
