Hey man, has it REALLY been F-I-F-T-Y freaking years since those surveys came out? It's like, totally a mind trip realizing that half-an-amazing-century has gone by since those grand times for Inland Empire radio broadcasting.
The best thing for me to do is go right back into suspended animation!
"Looking at this site... Everyone has a pretty good idea of how old you are"
It seems I recall thinking during those glorious Sixties how the popular music of the 1940's and early 1950's seemed ancient to me when i listened to it on my folk's Philco radio console. But look at US now!!!
I guess it's time to go lookin' for my rheumatism medicine, yep.
When I was a kid I thought WWII was ancient history because it happened before I was born (by a few years). Now it doesn't seem to have happened that long ago at all.
And here I sit listening to some very early cylinder recordings of popular music from the 1890's to 1920's. Was that so long ago? I guess this must be showing my age because I'm still only fifteen years old in my head!!

Looking at this site is like going to a high school reunion. Everyone has a pretty good idea of how old you are.
