Article about the new single from The Beatles.
#7 Ten Little Indians-Yardbirds I know there are a few people out there that really didn't like this song, but it was top 10 on KFXM
#26 Skip A Rope-Henson Cargill Highest debut on the top 40
Personal Picks Hello Goodbye/I Am The Walrus-Beatles and Hooray For The Salvation Army Band-Bill Cosby. (Bill Cosby version of Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band)
I also like Lazy Day-Spanky & Our Gang

Didn't know the Yardbirds had made
it this high with Indians.
I guess I tuned it out whenever
it played. Gets on my nerves.
Just want to imagine it never
existed.
Sorry to those who liked it,
all 2 of you.
:)
I always noticed that KFXM seemed to have more promotion of the Purple Haze then KMEN, though I seem to recall the show ads running on both stations. Does anyone know if there was a background connection between KFXM ownership/staff and Purple Haze activities beyond DJ "appearances"?
John from Fontana (back then)
