Venus-Shocking Blue #1
Highest debut Let's Work Together-Wilbert Harrison #26 New
Cupid-Johnny Nash
Victoria-Kinks
Notice KFXM came up with their #1 s for each year of the 1960s
1965-1969 matches their actual Top 100 #1 (before that no published Top 100 of the year), but at the end of 1969 it appears thay kept and used their actual calculated yearly 100 from the prior years.
1960 It is reasonable Theme From A Summer Place could have been their #1
1961 I had calculated Runaway as #2, so it seems reasonable
1962 I Can't Stop Lovin' You I also calculated as #2
1963 Louie Louie I had as #2 in 1964, but I guess it would depend what year you considered it a hit. Most places 1963, but it hit #1 on KFXM in 1964
1964 No dispute over I Want To Hold Your Hand
So in 1969 KFXM seem to rely on their old charts for 1960 on and not the national charts
100 points for KFXM!
Maybe there is some KFXM DJ who kept copies of the 1960-1964 station top 100s. If so I would love to hear from you.
