During this period, as opposed to 1960 and 1961, there were a dearth of local or unique records on these charts.

By 1970, the KFXM charts was totally national Billboard hits - same songs, different rankings - which were great, but of much less interest to this fan of rock and roll, who loves those records that charted or at least were watched on local radio but not promoted or listed elsewhere.

Which brings to mind a question as to the wax to watch records - were these actually played on air, or were they put on that list because promoters wanted them there - I'm not talking a quid pro quo (wink, wink). On some stations, records that were never played were still listed.

BRIDGE finally shows up.
A month after I heard the
bootlegged copy in
Indianapolis.

This is one of those songs you
recognize on the first chords
at the start.

There are many of those:
Smoke on the Water
Layla
Wild thing
...so many more.
For me, just play 1 second of
EVERLASTING LOVE and you got me
all the way to the end.
We know them in a split second because
they were played to extreme.
Rightfully so.
