WOWZER, with ALL the Tiger Jocks
together for this commercial photo-op, like, just WHO was manning the AM-control room at the K.F.X.M. radio studios??? remember that day clearly this One does, so he knows how it was done.
anyone else wanna take a guess how 'The California Tiger' pulled off this slight-of-hand feat?!

Great to see that group picture. I can't remember being there. With all of us there, I wonder who was on the air at the time ? Bill Pepper went on to KFSD FM in San Diego when it was classical. Don't know where he is now. Still wondering what ever happened to Phil Knight who was a very good jock and a cool guy. Jonny Bruce

HI, JONNY! in response to your queries, this One offers the following:

1) "Uncle Douggo" Collins ran a reel-to-reel tape of one of his prior shows in place of the absent jock for that timeslot when all the Tiger jocks went on down to Inland Center Mall for the photo-op.

2) at one point, a "Phillip Knight" was heard on the radio waves in the Capital City (Sacramento) back during the 1980's at KXOA-FM (the broadcasting Browns station outlet).
can't say what happened to this person afterwards, but it's probable this was THE 'Phil Knight' from KF. and yes, this particular announcer was a stalwart personality during his tenure at "K/108 - The Home of the Mellow Rock".

Yes, After I posted I remember once in a while we would run shows on reel to reel. I recall doing one in the production room once. Sounds like the same Phil Knight as he was from northern california and he liked a.o.r. radio. Jonny Bruce
