KFXM K/MEN 40 Years Ago today

Let's move ahead 10 years.   If you remember 1973, you won't be thinking it was 40 years ago, but it was.

The Rolling Stones in concert.  Whatever happened to them?
No Creedence Clearwater Revival on the charts, but we have the Blue Ridge Rangers on both surveys.  Arranged,  produced,  sung and playing all instruments by John Fogerty

While I don't remember striped pants (Doug Collins)as a fashion statement they must have been trendy at the time.

Yea, whoda thought 40 years ago
we'd be remembering those days now.
40 years ahead was unimaginable.
But here we are. That's good.
The alternative is not good.

"The alternative is not good."

If the poster means living thru the NEXT forty years, will then that's really scary if you ask me!
I'll take the good old days whether they be 40, 50 or 60 years ago.
You betcha!

Here's a perspective on 40 years ago.
Pur yourself in 1973 and think 40 years prior.
That would put you in 1933.
That would be scary in 1973.
Well....not so scary in 2013
thinking of 1973.
Yea spins your head but interesting
outlooks.

"To each of us is borne to his own Time, immutable is our perspective of when we are that is uniquely ours given how our stream of consciousness rigidly flows on conscripted by the temporal stream we find ourselves living in." (The Time Traveler from "The Return of The Time Machine" by Egon Freidell.)
