What's with the 2 separate WAYNE NEWTON
entries from Capitol all within a week?
Neither made it far.
Just curious about the entries.
Is it 1 record and both sides are being
played? Capitol musta had one hell
of a promo guy.

Wayne Newton: Appears to be one single, both sides.

Note that "Somewhere" by P.J. Proby is up to #3 this week on K/MEN, but is not even being played on KFXM....I signed off with that great version of the song every night on my "Love-In Affair" show which ran the last half hour of my shift when I was on 6pm-1lpm. It was for "winners and losers everywhere in that great game of life...a Love-In Affair with Danny Dare." Broke format and played only slooow, romantic songs for "gettin' down". The 45 was in KFXM's oldies file. I can understand KFXM"s Music Director not putting it on (peronal taste?) - I kept "Sugar, Sugar" off the playlist for far too long for the same (wrong)reason!
