Calcutta-Lawrence Welk #1 Biggest jump to #10 from #38 Shop Around-Miracles Highest debut Will You Love Me Tomorrow-Shirelles #28 New Baby Sittin' Boogie-Buzz Clifford
interesting to find one "Johnny Williams" listed in this week's "Wax To Watch" with his instrumental single titled "Theme from Checkmate"... yeah, he's the one and the same iconic grandmaster of all symphonic/orchestral-themed soundtracks of latter decades up to the present -- now simply known as JOHN WILLIAMS. he's also left a successful track record for some of classic television's opening/closing theme songs for many a series. just wondered if anyone can name some of the TV and/or movie compositions this superb musician has recorded?????
Didn't know GEE BABY had gotten that high up the charts in Berdoo. This is a great doo wopper of sorts. Was this just a regional thing. Good to see it floating near the top.
good one, Jonny, good one. a wee bit of deliberate mischief-making likely from whomever was tasked with the M.D. duties at the time... not to be confused with the occasional typo.
i seem to recall at least some of the same indecorous entries on the Fabulous 40/Tiger 30 during your era at KF. do you remember any, Jon?
