It very much sounds like the NEW station owner, Lincoln Dellar Enterprises, had begun placing the kabosh on many extraneous expenditures at KMEN until his hand-chosen regime was installed.

Noteworthy was the recent resignation of General Manager, Patrick Shaughnessy; and later on, both Buddy Scott (Program Director) and John Stolzenburg, Sales Manager -- both of whom eventually ended up in Sacramento radio circles.
