That KFXM survey points out that it was ten years since the Beatles invasion. Have you checked the calendar? In less then 24 months it will be 50 (FIFTY) years since the Beatles invasion. I guess it has stood the test of time as an "invasion".

It was a tsunami. They kept coming
and coming and coming. Glad it
happened. Rock scene was stagnant here.
British acts spiced it up and
woke up American pop music.
IT created much-needed competition.
Looking back it was wonderful.
