It was 50 years ago today that the upstart K-MEN killed the old K.I.T.O. radio station and the Inland Empire not been the same since!
Missing KITO 1290 k.c., R.I.P.
KITO was very minor competition to
KFXM.
KMEN was a monster wakeup call
to KFXM to get their act together.
And they did. Al Anthony make
it great competition to KMEN.
Great radio in IE in the mid 60s.
Still miss K.I.T.O. before it became a formula radio format!
