K/mentertainer July 15, 1967

Doors concert at the Kaiser Dome, but Jefferson Airplane will be at the Swwing Auditorium
Pictures of the Grassroots concert, and Doors concert.

Interesting that Com On Down To My Boat was one of the most requested songs listed on the page below.

Above a picture of the Sunshine Company promoting Happy. It won't be until the July 29th issue of the K/mentertainer that it will be on the survey. The Sunshine Company's version will hit the top ten in August

That SONNY song I TOLD MY GIRL TO
GO AWAY has got to be one of his
worst...and there are some Bono Bones out there.
It sounds worse than a demo.
But he did have a name and that
got him mileage.

It was 40 years ago tonight that the Jefferson Airplane took the stage at the Swing Auditorium on a warm summer evening. I was 16, had my driver's license, and was taking my girlfriend to our first rock concert. No doubt we were listening to KMEN in the car.

John from Fontana (back then)
